Commissioning
a painting from Marcelle
There are several
things to consider and make decisions on:
What is it that
you would love most of all to have? Marcelle can discuss this until
your ideas and hers merge perfectly. Visit
the gallery page to see what is possible, what colors and subjects
you are drawn to.
What is your
budget? The larger the size, the more the cost; but first decide
what it is you really want most and we can go from there to help
you get the perfect painting(s).
Where do you
plan to hang my new La Cour(s)? (Marcelle has Collector Members
that order more than one piece.)
What size will
work best for you? A portrait orientation is vertical: the art is
taller than it is wide. A landscape orientation is horizontal: the
art is wider than tall. If you cut or fold a piece of paper and
pin it to your wall you will see what the ideal size is for your
space.
The sizes Marcelle
usually works in are from about 18” x 24” up to 40”
x 50”, although she can work around what you need, if there
is a special size involved. Anything is possible! Here are the usual
sizes Marcelle works with, so that you get an idea:
| 18”
x 24” |

x 36” |
| 30”

After you have
selected the size, how much you want to invest and know what you
like and don’t like, then you and Marcelle will get together
to come up with your perfect painting.
What works best
is for you to phone Marcelle or set a time for her to phone you.
You will be emailed you the number you need to have. Contact
the Studio here.
Marcelle promises
100% satisfaction. She has not yet painted a commission that was
not met with joy and approval. Commissioned work gets put to the
top of the list, ahead of Marcelle’s usual work.
Marcelle will
begin the painting, letting you know from time to time how it is
progressing. You will be informed when the painting is close to
being complete. Then Marcelle will finish the painting and present
it to you in its final form. If you wish, she can help you with
framing choices and actual framing.
